A tremendous success turned out to be the share of the Traditional Karate Academy Boston (TKAB) competitors in this year’s British Traditional Karate Championships, which were held on 19 March 2011 in Blackpool.

The tournment was attended by athletes from clubs associated in UKTKF. Our competitors presented highest levels of performance, which was reflected in the results achieved as they scored seven medals altogether: two gold, two silver and three bronze. The individual kumite championship was won by Bartosz Skwarski in the senior category and Andrej Skarzynskij in the up to 5th kyu category.
The silver was taken by our kata team including Robert Malec, Bartosz Skwarski and Sebastian Batorski. Another silver was gained by Andrey Snevlis in individual kata up to 5th kyu cat. The bronze was captured by our seniors in team kumite (Robert Malec, Bartosz Skwarski, Sebastian Batorski). The remaining two bronze medals were secured by Andrey Skarzynski (individual kata up to 5th kyu category) and Andrey Snevlis (individual kumite up to 5th kyu category).
