Seminar with sensei Wlodzimierz Kwiecinski – 8 Dan: 12.04.2015

On 10-12 April 2015 Traditional Karate-Do Federation of Great Britain had the honour to host the President of the World Traditional Karate-Do Federation, with headquarters in Geneva, sensei Włodzimierz Kwieciński 8th dan. Once again, students of traditional karate in the UK had an opportunity to practise with such an outstanding master of karate, as is sensei Kwieciński. But this time it was a particularly special event, given the fact that for the first time it was organized by the newly formed traditional karate federation in the UK. This year’s seminar, conducted by sensei Włodzimierz Kwieciński, was held in two places. Namely, the specialist training session on the first day, designed for brown and black belts only, was held in Norwich (University of East Anglia) and was addressed to members of the Traditional Karate-Do Federation of Great Britain, as well as members our friendly organization – Eastern Shotokan Karate Association (ESKA). During next two days the seminar took place in Boston, where there was a general training session, open to all levels, and specialized kumite and kata sessions – masterclasses, designed for the most advanced students of this martial art. International Traditional Karate Seminar Gasshuku, 13-18.08.2013, Stara Wies (Poland)

International Traditional Karate Seminar Gasshuku 2013 took place on August 13-18, 2013 at the Japanese Martial Arts and Sports Centre ‘Dojo – Stara Wies’ (Poland). The seminar gathered 300 participants from 17 countries: Austria, Brasil, Canada, Czech Republic, Israel, Japan, Lithuania, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Uruguay, USA, United Kingdom, Venezuela and Poland. The International Summer Camp Gasshuku 2013 was conducted by the world’s top Karate Masters: sensei Robert Fusaro 9 Dan (USA) and sensei Avi Rokah 7 Dan (USA). Special guest instructors: sensei Katsuya Ishiyama 9 Dan (Venezuela), sensei Ilija Jorga 10 Dan (Serbia) and sensei Keibun Oura 7 Dan (Okinawa – Japan). Sensei Wlodzimierz Kwiecinski 7 Dan ITKF (Poland) was responsible for the coordination of the Gasshuku. Summer Gasshuku 2013 took place at the very special moment in the history of Traditional Karate. By the decision of the ITKF Extraordinary General Meeting which was held on August 17, 2013 at the Japanese Martial Arts and Sports Centre ‘Dojo – Stara Wies’, the ITKF headquarters will be moved to Geneva (Switzerland). The reorganized ITKF will be a non-governmental international organization (NGO) which will promote the Traditional Karate following the decision of the 101st Session of the International Olympic Committee and in accordance with the “ITKF Competition Rules”. The ITKF will be a common platform organization for many schools and styles of Traditional Karate which are practiced worldwide. Seminar with sensei Wlodzimierz Kwiecinski: 5-6 May 2012

The weekend of 5 – 6th May 2012 saw sensei W.K. 7th Dan ITKF leading a training seminar in Traditional Karate in Boston, Lincs (UK). It was already the biggest of the three seminars with sensei organised by the Traditional Karate Academy Boston (TKAB) so far.
